Why this exists

At X Takeover 2026, asked what he wishes people would ask him, Elon Musk said he hears the same questions so often that he could play a recording: “Oh, that's question 27. Here you go.” He added that maybe he should have a web page of frequently asked questions. This is a fan-made version of that page, with 49 frequently asked questions and 78 tracked predictions so far.

Method

  • No source, no entry. Every FAQ and prediction links to the X post, the video at the exact timestamp, or a reputable article.
  • Prediction claims are our paraphrase, and are labeled that way. Text in quotation marks is verbatim and was checked against the linked source. FAQ excerpts are machine transcripts with filler words and stutters removed (an ellipsis marks any other cut), not checked word for word; follow the link for the exact words.
  • Video quotes come from the video's captions, with filler words like “um” and repeated words removed. Nothing else is changed.
  • FAQs are built from 78 interview transcripts (Oct 2023 to Oct 2026). A question is listed once he has been asked it in 3 or more interviews, ranked by how often. Each answer links to the timestamp, and each timestamp is labeled cross-checked, archive only, or unverified.
  • Dates are the day he said it. When only the publication date is known, the page says “first reported.”

Prediction rubric

Hit
It happened by the stated deadline, shown by a linked source. Caveats are written out.
Came true, late
It happened, but after the stated deadline, shown by a linked source. The entry gives the date it happened, so you can see how late.
Missed
The deadline passed and a linked source shows it had not happened, and it still has not.
Pending
The deadline has not passed, or the claim cannot yet be settled with a source. We do not guess.
Contested
The deadline passed, but there is no agreed test for whether it came true, so we have not ruled. The entry explains why.
