First asked Oct 31, 2023, most recently Nov 4, 2024. Excerpts below are from machine transcripts with filler words (um, uh, you know) and stutters removed; … marks a cut. They are not checked word for word, so use the link to hear the exact words, or the transcript link for the raw text. Timestamps: 1 cross-checked against YouTube captions, 6 from the archive transcript only. X has no link-to-time option, so X links open at the start.

Q: Do you think that that's the Washington Post?
I mean, it is weird the degree to which the media is in lockstep. Like, why is the media in lockstep? And why doesn't the media question the government? They used to. Why don't they do that anymore? Seems weird. Something doesn't add up.

Q: And so that's why when these big PR firms snap and say jump, the media says, how high?
Yeah, they're propaganda firms. It would just make a lot more sense if you just think PR firm equals propaganda. PR equals propaganda. That is literally what it means. And if you read this,

Q: We were at Fremont doing a podcast with you when, remember when Tesla was in production?
But yeah, I think they sort of actually don't really have much of a choice in that. Any media that isn't focused on controversy and is not maximizing the clicks is going to get out competed by media that does maximize the clicks. So you also can't entirely blame them in that they're trying to survive in what is clearly a declining legacy media market. And it's a shrinking pie and shrinking pie. Desperate times leads …

Q: Why does the legacy media seem to have you, particularly in the last year and a half, in the crosshairs so much?
Well, I mean, the reality is that X is competition for the legacy media. So you know, X is a, is where people go to get the most current news and learn about the world. So the legacy media is our direct competitors. So they're really going to find every angle to try to cancel X. I mean, if you want to know why things are happening, look at the incentives so. And legacy media has had a tough time with respect to …

Q: Where do you see X.com's role in the future of news and journalism? ELON Musk?
Well, I think I see the X as it's really the number one source of news in the world. So it is the one, the number one way that people actually are informed about any kind of news, meaning real time events, is on the X platform, formerly Twitter. There's nothing even close for real time news. So we also want to expand upon that and we have done so with long form content. So instead of just doing what use people …

Q: How it would look like, and can the legacy media still earn the trust back? And what would happen to X?
Sure. Well, it's a great question because there's a. I mean, there's. I think what we'll see is a lot of censorship under sort of the Kamala regime. Kamala is really just. She's just a puppet, frankly. I mean if the teleprompter breaks, doesn't know what to say. So it's I just call it the machine the kind of big government machine, essentially. And you sort of have a face on the big government machine. And when the …

Q: If you know because you're saying it's misinformation, why do you think that you're smarter than everybody who reads that?
Exactly. And obviously anyone on the X system knows that things are posted and then there are replies and there are rebuttals and it's immediately corrected. But where are the corrections for the legacy media? If some broadcast media, they say false things all the time. But it's a one way street. There's no rebuttal, there's no counter.

Congrats! CEOs & execs posting to the public directly on 𝕏 is the best way to get your message out and drive product sales. Vastly more powerful and effective than a press release. https://t.co/Cn7bJ99TW9
